This Week's Class - Personalized Charms/Pendants (Oct. 1)

This week's class is going to be a lot of fun. We'll be making personalized charms and/or pendants. Here's a brief description:

Shrink plastic isn’t just for kids anymore! Use this blast-from-the-past product to create your own unique personalized charms, pendants and other items. You’ll use several tools (Sizzix die cuts, punches and decorative scissors) and coloring techniques (markers, pencils, rubber stamps, chalks and paint). Students should be able to make several charms and a pair of earrings or a simple bracelet or necklace during class.
This class is suitable for ages 12 and up.

Supplies: Shrink plastic sheets, assortment of beads, head pins, earring findings, stringing material (ex. Beadalon or leather cording), clasp, crimp beads or tubes, jump rings, Sizzix dies, punches, decorative scissors, markers, pencils, rubber stamps, chalks, paint, heat gun, a bead board or bead mat is also recommended
Cost: $20 + supplies

I have been playing around with shrink plastic (aka Shrinky Dinks) for a long time. The possibilities are endless with this product. I'll try to upload some pictures of my projects today or tomorrow.

Calling All UFOs!!! - Wednesday, September 24

It's that time of month again!!!

Have UFOs landed at YOUR house??? Gather them up/dust them off and bring them to the monthly Bead Social. Don't bead alone!

This is a working class for beaders who may have questions or need a quick refresher in any area of beading. There will be no specific instruction but lots of one-on-one time with students. A great class to get motivated to finish your UFOs (UnFinished Objects), get back into beading, start a new project, or for social beading. Also, a chance to meet new friends and see old ones.

Please bring along some of your finished projects to show the class.

Supplies: Beads, stringing material and findings

Cost: $15 + supplies

Now that the weather's getting cooler I just might bake something to share with the class! Don't hold me to it though!!! LOL

STUDENTS ENROLLED IN THIS CLASS MUST HAVE TAKEN A PREVIOUS CLASS WITH THIS TEACHER.

Sept. 17th Class - Beaded Jump Ring Jewelry

This project is sometimes referred to as "shaggy loops". It's a fun project using jump rings and larger seed beads (or other small/medium sized beads). In this class you'll learn the proper way to open and close jump rings. This is a good introduction to working with jump rings before taking on a regular chain maille class. The more jump rings and beads you add, the fuller and more lush the necklace/bracelet/earrings become. Project may not be completed in class.

Supplies: Size 6 or 8 seed beads (assorted colors work best), 6 and/or 7mm jump rings, coordinating clasp, earring findings, a bead mat is also recommended

Cost: $20 + supplies

Time: 6:15pm - 8:45pm

Location: AC Moore
550 Mt. Pleasant Avenue
Dover/Rockaway, NJ

Supplies: Assortment of beads for necklace and embellishments, stringing material (ex. Beadalon), toggle clasp, crimp beads or tubes, head pins, jump rings, a bead board or bead mat is also recommended
