Moving On...

I haven't posted here in ages. As most of you know A.C. Moore in Dover/Rockaway, NJ stopped classes a long time ago and finally closed their doors on Christmas Eve 2011. I'm not teaching anywhere currently but if/when I start up again I'll post here. In the mean time I started up a new blog. If you're interested you can find me here: http://studio5-oh.blogspot.com/

They're Back!

I haven't posted in quite awhile because I haven't had much to say. I got a call from A.C. Moore yesterday with some good news. CLASSES ARE STARTING UP AGAIN! I've really missed teaching. Now I have to figure out class schedules for the next few months. Any suggestions? Which day of the work works best? What time?

 I can't wait to see all of you again and meet some new beaders/jewelry makers.

UPDATE - Classes at A.C. Moore

A lot of you have been asking me about classes at A.C. Moore. From what I understand the stores are slowly adding classes back in. Wilton Classes have already been rescheduled.

I'm hoping to hear back soon whether or not I'll be the Jewelry/Beading Instructor at the Dover/Rockaway, NJ store.

I've taught a lot of really nice people over the past 6 years. I hope I have the opportunity to continue there.

Classes at A.C. Moore

Received a letter Friday from A.C. Moore, dated December 30, 2010.

"Effective January 2011, we will be evaluating and implementing various changes to our class instruction program. One of the changes being implemented is the requirement that classes in A.C. Moore stores must now be taught by A.C. Moore associates. To ensure that these structure changes are made appropriately, we will not be offering certain classes across the Company starting January 2011, including the classes that you currently teach."

"Education of customers is an important facet of A.C. Moore's overall goal of being the best arts and craft destination along the East Coast. Our goal is to have additional information communicated to you in February 2011 regarding the future structure of the class instruction program."

I've really enjoyed teaching at A.C. Moore for the past 6+ years. I've met some great people. I am currently looking for other venues to teach beading/jewelry making. If you have any suggestions please let me know.

No Classes at A.C. Moore in January

Hi Everyone,

I received a call from A.C. Moore last night. During the month of January there won't be any classes taught in their stores. I'm hoping that this is only temporary.

If you have any bead/jewelry making questions, feel free to email me. I'm hoping to be more active on my blog and on Facebook and Twitter in 2011. Instead of just posting about my classes I hope to share info on new products and magazines and books. Stay tuned!

Just a reminder - I'm available for private beading lessons, Bead Birthday Parties, special order jewelry and jewerly repairs.
