Embellished Peyote Stitch Spring Garden Bracelet - April 1 & 8

Don’t necessarily have a green thumb? Bead your own garden! You’ll never have to worry about forgetting to water it or drought.

Peyote stitch is probably the most popular beading stitch - but not always the easiest to learn! Through trial and error I've come up with a method I think everyone will be able to get the hang of. This class will cover basic even count peyote stitch. Students will make a basic peyote strip to be used as the bracelet base during Part 1 of this class and add the clasp and garden embellishments in the next class. Some work at home may be required. THIS IS A STITCH CLASS USING NEEDLE AND THREAD.

Supply List:

  • Size 6 or 8 seed beads or cube beads (for basic bracelet – Part 1)
  • assorted beads, buttons, etc. for embellishments (to be used in Part 2 of the class)
  • beading thread or braided fishing line
  • beading needles
  • Thread Heaven or similar thread conditioner
  • clasp of your choice or fancy button

Tools:

  • scissors
  • bead mat (recommended but not necessary)

You DO NOT have to make a garden themed bracelet. Use embellishment techniques to create your own one-of-a-kind, uniquely YOU bracelet.

THIS CLASS WILL BE LIMITED TO 6 STUDENTS SO SIGN UP EARLY!

Happy Beading!

March 25 - UFO Night/Bead Social

March is coming to an end so it's that time of month again!!!

Have UFOs landed at YOUR house??? Gather them up/dust them off and bring them to the monthly Bead Social. Don't bead alone! This is a working class for beaders who may have questions or need a quick refresher in any area of beading. There will be no specific instruction but lots of one-on-one time with students. A great class to get motivated to finish your UFOs (UnFinished Objects), get back into beading, start a new project, or for social beading. Also, a chance to meet new friends and see old ones. Please bring along some of your finished projects to show the class.

Supplies: Beads, stringing material and findings

Cost: $15 + supplies

STUDENTS ENROLLED IN THIS CLASS MUST HAVE TAKEN A PREVIOUS CLASS WITH THIS TEACHER.

If you plan to come to class tonight please send me an email or call me so that I have all of the necessary materials to help you.
