Beading/Jewelry Making Classes for March

Following are the Beading/Jewelry Making classes being taught at the Dover/Rockaway AC Moore in March.

All classes are on Wednesday nights from 6:00pm - 8:30pm.

March 4 - Brick Stitch Earrings (Beg./Int.)
March 11 - More Wire Work (Beg./Int.)
March 18 - Beaded Watch Band (Beg./Int.)
March 25 - Bead Social/UFO Night (All Levels)

UFO Night/Bead Social - TONIGHT!

It's that time of month again!!!

Have UFOs landed at YOUR house??? Gather them up/dust them off and bring them to the monthly Bead Social. Don't bead alone! This is a working class for beaders who may have questions or need a quick refresher in any area of beading. There will be no specific instruction but lots of one-on-one time with students. A great class to get motivated to finish your UFOs (UnFinished Objects), get back into beading, start a new project, or for social beading. Also, a chance to meet new friends and see old ones. Please bring along some of your finished projects to show the class.

Supplies: Beads, stringing material and findings

Cost: $15 + supplies

STUDENTS ENROLLED IN THIS CLASS MUST HAVE TAKEN A PREVIOUS CLASS WITH THIS TEACHER.

Spiral Stitch Bracelet/Necklace - Wednesday, 2/18

Oops! I just realized I forgot to "publish" this post. Sorry for the delay...

The spiral stitch is one of the most versatile stitches. There are so many variations that you can make it look different every time! More advanced students will learn how to include embellishments. Project will be started in class but might not be completed. THIS IS A STITCH CLASS USING NEEDLE AND THREAD.
(Limit 8 students)

Supplies: Two contrasting, but complimentary, colors of size 6 or 8 seed beads, beading thread or braided fishing line, beading needles, findings (clasp, bead tips/clamshell tips), a bead board or bead mat is also recommended

Cost: $20 + supplies

Beading/Jewelry Making Class - Wire Wrapping Basics - Wednesday, February 11

Learn the two round wire methods – basic loop and wire wrapped loop - that are used to connect beads in a chain link manner. These techniques can be used over and over in almost any piece of jewelry you wish to make. Students will make a beautiful bracelet or necklace, and maybe even some earrings!
(Limit 8 students)

Supplies: Assortment of small, medium and large beads, spacers, jewelry wire, clasp, earring findings

Cost: $20 + supplies

Time: 6:00pm - 8:30pm

Location: AC Moore Dover/Rockaway

February 4th Class – Tassel Necklace

Tassels aren’t just for graduation anymore! Learn basic jewelry making techniques to create a fashionable tassel necklace. Quick stringing methods and tassel variations will also be shown. Make matching earrings if time permits.
(Limit 8 students)

Supplies: Seed beads, larger focal bead, beading wire or beading thread and beading needles, clasp, crimp beads, bead cones (optional), a bead board or bead mat is also recommended

Cost: $20 + supplies

February Beading/Jewelry Making Classes at AC Moore Dover/Rockaway

The theme for this year's classes is "Looking Fine in 2009"!

Keep up with the latest jewelry trends at a fraction of the cost by taking Beading/Jewelry Making classes at AC Moore.

Learn stringing, wire work and stitch techniques that will help you recreate jewelry similar to what you see in the store. Since these pieces will be hand made you get the satisfaction of knowing each piece is one of a kind. Not only do you go home with a new piece, or pieces, of jewelry after class, you'll also make some new friends.

Classes are every Wednesday night and one or more Saturdays per month.
