Jewelry Box Makeover - Wednesday, 4/21

This class is in honor of Earth Day, April 22. Recycle/Reuse/Repurpose your old jewelry!

Take a look at your jewelry box. You know you have things in there you haven’t worn in years but you just can’t get rid of them - one earring, broken chain, out of style peices. Bring in your jewelry box and learn how to make unworn/broken pieces into something new. This class is suitable for children 12 and older and adults.

Supply List:
• size 6 or 8 beads for base row (won’t show much)
• beads in assorted sizes and colors for fringe (i.e. seed beads, E beads, crystals, pearls, cubes, triangles, etc.)
• beading needle(s)

• beading thread (i.e. Nymo or Fireline)
• beading wire (i.e. Beadalon)
• crimp beads or tubes (recommended)
• clasp of choice (toggle clasp recommended)

Tools:
• wire cutters
• crimping pliers
• scissors
• bead board and/or bead mat (recommended but not necessary)

Please let me know if you plan to attend class so that I have enough materials and handouts.

Happy Beading!

Any Interest in a Men's Jewelry Class?

I'm working on the class schedule for June and July. Anyone interested in learning how to make Men's jewelry? I was thinking a leather cord bracelet.

Let me know...

Beaded Jump Ring Jewelry Class - Wednesday, 4/7

This is a fun project using jump rings and larger seed beads or other small/medium sized beads. It is sometimes referred to as "shaggy loops". In this class you’ll learn the proper way to open and close jump rings. This is a good introduction to working with jump rings before taking on a regular chain maille class. The more jump rings and beads you add, the fuller and more lush the bracelet becomes. Once you get the hang of it you can move onto a necklace and/or earrings! Project may not be completed in class.

Supplies:
• Size 6 or 8 seed beads or triangles or cubes (assorted colors work best)
• 6mm and/or 7mm jump rings
• Coordinating clasp (toggle or lobster claw)
• Premade bracelet chain (optional)
• Earring findings (optional)

Tools:
• Two pair of round nose or flat nose pliers
• Bead board and/or bead mat (recommended but not necessary)

Cost: $20 + supplies
Time: 6:00pm - 8:15pm
Location: AC Moore
550 Mt. Pleasant Avenue
Dover/Rockaway, NJ
(973) 442-1265

Sorry for the delay in posting this. I've been a little under the weather this week.

Please let me know if you plan to attend class so that I have enough handouts.

Hope to see you tonight!
