Class Title: Beading/Jewelry Making – St. Petersburg Chain/Stitch (Beginner/Intermediate)
Cost: $20 + supplies
Location: A.C. Moore, Rockaway
Store Phone: (973) 442-1265
St. Petersburg Chain/Stitch is a pretty stich that works up quickly once you get the hang of it. After your first piece, vary the colors and size of beads for endless possibilities. Students might not complete their project during class. Enough instruction is given to complete the project at home. THIS IS A STITCH CLASS USING NEEDLE AND THREAD.
Supply List:
• 2 contrasting colors of E or seed beads (larger beads are easier to learn with)
• Small crystals or other embellishment beads (Intermediate students)
• beading thread (ex. Fireline, Wildfire, Nymo or Dandyline)
• beading needles
• clasp of choice
Tools:
• scissors
• bead board and/or bead mat (recommended but not necessary)
If you have any questions let me know.
Happy Beading!

Julie,
ReplyDeleteI love this stitch! It's fun and works up fast with the E size beads! Thanks for teaching it!
Mindy
What a fun class! Only two students but that just meant they got more individual attention. Retna's first attempt at beading/jewelry making was a stitch class. She sure was brave! After a few "frog" stitches she left with an almost completed bracelet. Mindy used her favorite "copper" beads and almost finished a necklace. She used a metallic plum colored bead as the accent bead. All I can say is WOW!!! Can't wait to see their finished pieces.
ReplyDeleteWhy do I always remember I should have taken a picture of student projects AFTER I get home???
