Bead Social/UFO Night - Wednesday, 8/26, 6-8:15pm

It's that time of the month again...

Come join the fun at the monthly "Bead Social/UFO Night" and bead yourself happy. Just $10!

As one student says "It's cheaper than therapy!"

Have UFOs landed at YOUR house??? Gather them up/dust them off and bring them to the monthly Bead Social. Don't bead alone! This is a working class for beaders who may have questions or need a quick refresher in any area of beading. There will be no specific instruction but lots of one-on-one time with students. A great class to get motivated to finish your UFOs (UnFinished Objects), get back into beading, start a new project, or for social beading. Also, a chance to meet new friends and see old ones. Please bring along some of your finished projects to show the class.

"Bead Social/UFO Night" is usually held the last Wednesday of the month from 6:00pm - 8:15pm at the AC Moore in Dover/Rockaway.

Supplies: Beads, stringing material and findings
Cost: $10 + supplies

STUDENTS ENROLLED IN THIS CLASS MUST HAVE TAKEN A PREVIOUS CLASS WITH THIS TEACHER.

NOTE: If you plan to come to this class, please send me an email or call me so that I have all of the necessary materials to help you.

Illusion Jewelry Class - Wednesday, August 19

Learn how to make jewelry using monofilament and/or beading wire that gives the illusion that the beads are floating. A very elegant look that’s not too hard to make.

Supplies: Assortment of small and medium beads, pearls and/or crystals; monofilament or thin bead stringing wire; findings (crimp beads, clamshells, jump rings, clasp, earwires); Hypo cement (optional); a bead board or bead mat is also recommended

Location: AC Moore, Rockaway

Time: 6:00pm - 8:15pm

Cost: $20 + supplies

Blue Moon Beads Demo - Saturday, Aug. 15, 1:00-3:00pm

Hi Everyone,

I thought I'd let you know that I'll be at AC Moore in Rockaway Saturday giving a demo featuring Blue Moon Beads "Gardener's Necklace".

TONIGHT'S CLASS (8/5) CANCELLED

I just called AC Moore and no one has signed up for tonight's class.

I don't think there's going to be a mad rush in the next 3 hours so I decided to cancel.

In the future, if there isn't at least one person pre-registered, class will be cancelled.

If you do plan to attend class but don't want to go to the store to pre-register you can leave a comment here or email me to let me know you'll be coming.

Beadfest is Coming!

Hi Everyone,

Have any of you ever been to Beadfest?

I have been attending for years. I've never taken a class though. I just go to the Bazaar. It's a great place to see new and unusual beads and beading supplies and talk to fellow beaders.

I may have a few extra free passes for admission so let me know if you're interested. (Local people only - sorry!)

August 5 - Lacy Anklet or Necklace

It's summer. Time to show off your ankles!!!

Learn a basic netting technique to create a pretty necklace or anklet that is reminiscent of lace. More advanced students will learn how to add additional embellishments. This is a Beginner/Intermediate class.

THIS IS A STITCH CLASS USING NEEDLE AND THREAD.

(Limit 8 students)

Supplies:

• Size 11 seed beads in 2 - 3 coordinating colors


• medium sized beads for drops/embellishments


• beading thread or braided fishing line


• beading needles


• Thread Heaven or similar thread conditioner


• clasp


• a bead board or bead mat is also recommended
